Cristina and I were in Venice to attend the 75. Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica, a cultural extravaganza culminating with the assignment of the Leone d’Oro award, (Golden Lion), a trophy in the shape of the traditional lion of Saint Marc, appointed by an international jury of movie professionals. Renowned film director Guillermo del Toro was this year president of the panel.

2018 MiArt, the prominent art fair in Italy and one of the most important in the world, has closed its doors. Following, a few pictures to give you an idea of the state of the art.
From April 13 to 15, 2018, Friday to Sunday, if you were in Milan, you would have been able to review a selection of modern and contemporary art, starting from the beginning of the 20th century to the most recent works, carried into the city by galleries from around the Word. Autism. Art awakens the soul. 60 works by 18 artists affected by autism exhibit their artistic self through abstraction and imagination. The M.A.C.-Musica Arte Spettacolo in Milano is now featuring The Art Of Shade, a show of LA Graffiti, shot by the photographer Andrea “Jako Vonjako” Giacomini, complemented each by the addition of Saturnino Celani’s shades. (testo italiano qui)

November 10th through 12th, 2017, “The Mall” – the new exhibition space in the Porta Nuova district – stages the first edition of GrandArt, Modern and Contemporary Art fair.
